The Christian Campus Center is…
Called the Tri-C by most people who know it best. It is a safe place where students from the Kilgore College community come together to share their common interest in Christ.
The ministry is supported by various Churches of Christ congregations in East Texas and other states and communities including California and the Dallas Metro-Plex with the elders of the Chandler Street Church of Christ in Kilgore overseeing the daily operations. The Christian Campus Center has been in the same location at Nolen and Broadway directly across from the Kilgore campus for many years. Although the building was destroyed by a fire in 2002, it was rebuilt and opened again in 2003.
The Tri-C exists to serve students and their spiritual, social and educational goals. It is a place where students can come leave their busy schedules in life to relax, study, pray, check their email, and hang out with friends.
We have weekly Bible Studies, devotionals, an English Language Conversation Café, retreats, social activities, service projects and a variety of other events for students.
The Tri-C is a place that is especially welcoming for international students. There are many opportunities for our friends from different countries to be involved in fun, spirit filled activities.
The Tri-C is a place where everyone is welcome. It is a place where we meet students just where they are. We welcome you to be a part of this exciting ministry experience.
The Tri-C has a computer lab with high speed internet connections as well as color printers available free of charge to students. We have a growing library with a variety of Christian books, commentaries, study aides and college text books. Our Kitchen is equipped with modern appliances, there is ping pong, board games, Christian music, weekly activities, friends, evening activities, Christian involement, cable TV, comfortable couches and a lot more.
As you can see, the Christian Campus Center is more than a place to just hang out, but a place to experience. So you ask yourself, how can I be a part of this? Just allow your spirit to be challenged and join us, it is as simple as that. No registration, no fees, just a desire to be a part.
